Hakan Fidan was received by Azerbaijani President Aliyev

According to the statement made by the Presidency of Azerbaijan, Fidan, who came to Baku for contacts, was accepted by Aliyev. Minister Fidan conveyed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's greetings to Aliyev. Aliyev also thanked him for the greetings and asked for his greetings to be conveyed to Erdoğan.

During the meeting, it was expressed with satisfaction that Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherhood and strategic alliance relations have developed successfully in all areas and that cooperation has become even stronger on the basis of the "one nation, two states" principle. During the meeting, the importance of cooperation in the field of energy was touched upon, and views were exchanged on new ways to enter international markets in alternative energy.

At the meeting, the importance of Azerbaijan and Türkiye in terms of logistics, especially their role as an important bridge between Europe and Asia, was pointed out, and the importance of coordination of activities within the framework of international organizations was emphasized. During the meeting, the future of bilateral relations, regional issues and other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.

Fidan also had a bilateral meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ceyhun Bayramov within the scope of his Baku contacts.
