HBO released a new Harry Potter series teaser, Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter

The video introduces the "Harry Potter" series about the wizard boy's first year at Hogwarts, with the house sorting ceremony and the confrontation with Professor Snape.

In the teaser released on September 2, Harry Potter (Dominic McLaughlin) wears the Sorting Hat and is then selected into one of four Hogwarts houses. The producer also incorporated some familiar details from the book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by author J.K. Rowling, including the Quidditch field and the first lessons of the main trio. Professor Severus Snape (Paapa Essiedu) appears in many scenes, showing a cold attitude towards Harry.

Hollywood Reporter assessed that the images and effects in the trailer have a cinematic scale, reminiscent of the series produced by Warner Bros. previously released. The video has brighter colors than the teaser released in March.

The first season of the series consists of eight episodes, following the life of Harry Potter as he receives his admission letter to Hogwarts and enters the wizarding world. Here, Harry makes friends, goes on adventures and discovers the school's dark secrets, all the while facing the darkest wizard.

The series stars Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The cast also includes John Lithgow (Albus Dumbledore), Janet McTeer (Minerva McGonagall), Paapa Essiedu (Severus Snape), Nick Frost (Rubeus Hagrid), Rory Wilmot (Neville Longbottom) and Lox Pratt (Draco Malfoy).

The project is being implemented on a large scale by HBO, adapting all seven novels by J.K. Rowling into seven seasons. The series is written by Francesca Gardiner and directed and executive produced by Mark Mylod. Filming took place at the Warner Bros. studio. Studios Leavesden in England.

The Harry Potter series follows the adventures of a boy wizard and his two friends at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Part one was published on June 26, 1997. To date, the seven volumes have sold 500 million copies - becoming the best-selling book series in history - and have been translated into 73 languages. The ending of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was published on July 21, 2007 - sold 15 million copies worldwide in 24 hours.

The book was adapted into an eight-part film series, with a global box office revenue of 7.7 billion USD and receiving 12 Oscar nominations. In addition to the three main actors, the series stars Robbie Coltrane, Richard Harris, Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith. Upon release, the first part became the highest-grossing film globally in 2001, laying the foundation for one of the most successful film franchises in history.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the release of the first film, the producer re-showed Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) in theaters around the world, including Vietnam, at the end of August. The crew added 12 minutes of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes material, creating an additional experience for fans.
