Helicopter with singer Rick and three other people is missing in Santa Catarina

The helicopter with singer Rick, from the duo with Renner, has remained missing since Tuesday night (22). In addition to the countryman, the aircraft also carried businessman Bruno Avelar, videomaker Paulo Soares and the pilot of the aircraft, whose name has not yet been released.

Firefighter teams use a thermal drone to try to locate the aircraft in the rural area of ​​Urubici, where the last signal from the helicopter's transponder was emitted on Monday (21).

The equipment capable of capturing the heat emitted by bodies and objects belongs to the state Civil Defense and is flying over the Santa Bárbara region this morning. Throughout the day, another drone with the same characteristics and belonging to the Military Firefighters, will also be used in the region.

The aircraft took off from Porto Belo, on the North Coast, bound for São Joaquim, in Serra, and did not arrive at the scheduled location. Teams from the Fire Department, Military Police, Civil Defense and the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) are mobilized in the search.

The helicopter is a Bell 430, manufactured in 2001, with capacity for one pilot and seven passengers. In the version with ski-type landing gear, the maximum takeoff weight is 4,218 kilograms.

According to the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), the aircraft is in good standing and has an operating certification valid until August 11, 2027. The registration also indicates that the aircraft is authorized to carry out night flights.

Before the aircraft disappeared, Rick published a video on social media showing the meeting with Bruno Avelar at an airport. The businessman's office confirmed that he boarded the helicopter.

The PP-MGR - Bell 430 aircraft is from JTA Empreendimento e Urbanismo. In a statement, the company confirmed that the helicopter is used by Bruno Avelar and singer Rick.

"JTA informs that its helicopter borrowed for use by Bruno Avelar and singer Rick, close friends of the company owner, is currently missing."

There is still no confirmation of an accident involving the aircraft. The information is being investigated with the competent bodies.
