27-year-old man dies after being shot in Rio Branco

A man identified as Antônio Valcemir Queiroz da Silva, aged 27, died after being hit by gunshots on Saturday night (5), on Rua Lua Azul, in the Rosa Linda neighborhood, in the Second District of Rio Branco. No one was arrested.

Three other people, a woman and two children, were also hit. Antônio was working on building a wall when he was surprised.

According to the Acre Military Police (PM-AC), witnesses said that two men arrived at the scene on a motorcycle, fired several shots and then fled.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and took Antônio, his wife and two children for medical care. However, Antônio could not resist his injuries and died.

The PM also reported that they searched the region, but the perpetrators of the crime were not located. Until the last update of this report, no one had been arrested.

The case will be investigated by the Homicide and Personal Protection Department (DHPP), of the Acre Civil Police.
