Man is convicted of qualified feminicide in Maringá

In the conviction, defined on Thursday (3), the Jury Court found him guilty of femicide qualified by cruel means, according to the Public Ministry of Paraná (MPPR). In addition, the accused will have to pay compensation of R$50,000 to the victim's family. The defense can still appeal the decision.

At the time, Daniela was found dead and with head injuries by her daughter, in the residence where she lived. Hours earlier, neighbors reported that they heard the victim fighting with a man, who was seen leaving her house moments later.

A bloody footprint, which was found on the floor at the crime scene, helped identify Éder as the perpetrator of the crime, according to the Scientific Police of Paraná (PCIPR).

He was found and arrested in a bar in Maringá the next day. According to the police, the accused was wearing a boot with the same brand as the footprint, with blood stains on the sole. There were also traces of blood on the fabric of the pants he was wearing.
