Man is arrested for posting weight-loss pens without authorization at the Post Office; police retain R$2 million worth of medicines

A man was arrested red-handed this Friday (16), outside a post office in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro, after posting weight-loss pens without authorization or control from the competent bodies. Renan Reis de Carvalho, aged 41, was charged with a crime against public health.

“With the support of the Correios intelligence sector, the police obtained information that this individual had been repeatedly dispatching weight-loss substances at agencies located in Barra da Tijuca and Recreio”, stated delegate Neilson Nogueira, from the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca).
