根據 Honda 公布的新車計畫中，旗下主力跨界 HR-V 將在 2028 年推出新一代車型，日媒初步掌握的資訊顯示，換上全新外觀與內裝之外，將搭載新開發 1.5 升 e:HEV 系統與 S+ Shift 功能，並強化 Honda Sensing 輔助系統導入 AI 功能，售價預計 2,998,600 日圓（約 60.4 萬元台幣）到 3,968,800 日圓（約 80 萬元台幣）。

日媒指出，新一代 HR-V 配備新開發 1.5 升四缸引擎，搭配雙電動馬達的 e:HEV 系統，具備更高效率與性能，預期引擎輸出 106 匹馬力；電動馬達則提供 131 匹馬力，平均油耗推測來到每公升 27.5 公里水準，而 S+ Shift 換檔系統將在今年小改款先行導入，下一代也會沿用。

透過預想圖來看，車頭換上更為簡約的設計，以半封閉的水箱護罩搭配貫穿廠徽的飾條，頭燈組更為狹長銳利，下方則為開闊的進氣口，兩側三角形的進氣口則增添運動感，車尾採貫穿式的燈組設計，配合傾斜且粗壯的 C 柱強化跑格氣息。

內裝方面，新一代 HR-V 將換上更具科技感的車室，導入 10.25 吋數位儀表與 12.3 吋觸控螢幕，搭配 Honda Connect 車載系統且內建 Google，並且用料上也會比現行更高級。並導入全新 Honda Sensing 駕駛輔助系統。
