HubX signed a $75 million investment agreement with Point72 and participated in the Turcorn 100 program

ECONOMY SERVICE - HubX, an artificial intelligence-focused technology company founded in Izmir in 2022, reached an agreement with Point72 Private Investments to receive an investment of approximately 75 million dollars. With the transaction carried out based on the company's valuation of 1.2 billion dollars, HubX became Turkey's new 'Turcorn' by joining the technology startups with a value exceeding 1 billion dollars.

The investment in question was recorded as the first investment received by HubX, which has grown without using external financing to date. The company, which has developed more than 40 mobile applications and web applications, including Nova, Wiser, DaVinci and Lotus Flow, has introduced its products to more than 600 million users in more than 190 countries.

Ministry supports

The Turcorn 100 Program, carried out by the Ministry, was launched in 2022 for Turkey to create companies that have reached a new billion-dollar valuation. With the Turcorn 100 Program, startups that have successfully left the early stage behind, have rapid growth potential, are technology-focused and aim to expand into global markets are supported. Companies included in the program are provided with support such as mentorship, access to financial resources, participation in national and international acceleration programs, development of corporate cooperation and expansion into global markets.

HubX, a technology company, was founded 4 years ago by brothers Cem Ortabaş and Kaan Ortabaş.

Through the program, Türkiye aims to increase the number of technology companies called "Turcorn" that exceed a valuation of $1 billion. In this context, the number of candidate startups in the Turcorn 100 Program reached 43 as of the first half of the year. Thus, the number of startups in the program, which was 23 in March 2025, approximately doubled in 15 months. VRLAB Academy is currently the first and only company to graduate from the 'Turcorn 100' program. In this direction, it is aimed to produce 100 Turcorns from Turkey by 2030, the number of technology startups in the country will reach 100 thousand and the total valuation of Turcorns will exceed 100 billion dollars.

They are opening up to the world

Efforts to increase the international visibility of the initiatives in the Turcorn 100 Program are also continuing.

Startups within the scope of the program participated in international entrepreneurship events such as 4YFN Barcelona held in Spain, MatchCAP Asia 2026 in Singapore and VivaTech 2026 in France in the first half of the year.

At these events, Turkish technology startups had the opportunity to introduce their products and services to international investors, develop new collaborations and access global markets.
