US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it neutralized a commercial ship in the Gulf of Oman on the grounds that it violated the naval blockade against Iran.

In the statement made by CENTCOM, it was noted that the ship in question was hit in the back by a US aircraft with precision munitions after its crew was warned.

The statement claimed that the commercial cargo ship repeatedly tried to violate the naval blockade imposed against Iran and was preparing to leave regional waters after visiting an Iranian port.

In the statement, it was stated that CENTCOM continues to strictly enforce the American naval blockade against Iran, and that 147 commercial ships have been diverted and 5 commercial ships have been neutralized since July.

GUARDS OF THE REVOLUTION: TWO OIL TANKERS HIT A MINE

In the written statement made by the Revolutionary Guard Army, it was stated that two oil tankers, one in the east of the Strait of Hormuz and the other in the strait, tried to pass through the Strait of Hormuz by turning off their tracking systems and hit a mine in the process.

It was stated in the statement that a fire broke out on the ships after the incident and that the fire is still continuing, and it was emphasized that if the ships in the Strait of Hormuz try to pass through the mined area under the pressure of the USA, incidents of hitting mines will continue to occur.

Iranian media had announced that two explosions were heard on Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz, before information was shared that the ships hit a mine.

An unnamed Iranian official said that the explosion sounds on Qeshm Island were related to the Strait of Hormuz.

Additionally, Iranian state television stated that the source of the explosions may have been due to warning shots against ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
