Interior Minister Çiftçi: 714 escaped criminals from 44 countries were brought to Türkiye

Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi said, "Within the scope of the 'Cross-Border Trap' operations we have been carrying out since the beginning of the year, we brought a total of 714 fugitive criminals from 44 countries, 170 of whom were organized crime ringleaders and members, to our country and handed them over to Turkish justice."

In his post on his virtual media account, Minister Çiftçi said, "Our state does not sleep, it does not forget any criminal. When the time comes, it attacks the criminals. Within the scope of the 'Cross-Border Trap' operations we have carried out since the beginning of the year, a total of 714 fugitives from 44 countries, including 332 public order, 271 smuggling and organized crime, 99 narcotics, 12 wanted for terrorism crimes, 170 of whom are organized crime ringleaders and members. "We brought the criminal to our country and handed him over to Turkish justice. Those who commit a crime and think they can escape abroad when they are in trouble should know: No matter where they go in the world, no matter which country they flee to, we will track them with the strong coordination of our Ministries of Internal Affairs, Justice and Foreign Affairs, ensure their extradition to our country and bring them to Turkish justice."
