67-year-old man is kidnapped, beaten and rescued by police in Belterra, PA

A 67-year-old elderly man was kidnapped, taken to a forested area and beaten by three men on Wednesday night (23), in Belterra, in western Pará. The victim was rescued by the Military Police after an anonymous complaint from witnesses who saw the elderly man being forcibly placed inside a car. The three suspects were arrested red-handed.

The elderly man reported that, during the journey, he tried to save himself by jumping out of the moving car, but was caught, beaten and thrown back into the vehicle. In the cornfield, the suspects began attacking him with punches and rifle butts, demanding that he tell them where a power transformer was located that had allegedly been stolen from the attackers' mother's property. The victim denied the theft.
