The accident happened last Friday (2), during the traditional Spring Festival at the Professora Alcinea Gouveia de Freitas school, in the Júlio Bucci neighborhood. Around 200 people were still at the scene.
According to Letícia, there was a queue of visitors to eat pasta. The nurse thought the son was jumping with his uncle. To her surprise, upon seeing the hustle and bustle, she came across her brother.
"I only got up with the intention of helping to remove whatever was close to the fire and that's when I saw it. I just had the reaction of trying to help put out the fire on his body and look for my son. Even though he was on fire, he was looking for my son", says the nurse.

The suspicion is that the fire started when alcohol was added to the dish where the dish was being served.
"When it was time to refuel the réchaud, the incident happened. The firefighters were there today. Beforehand, they looked and realized that there was nothing irregular. The place where it was being served was in an open area. We believe it may have been during refueling", says head nurse Josiane de Sousa Nunes, who followed the case.
