The Pope at the Angelus in Castel Gandolfo: let the violence in the West Bank stop and reach a two-state solution

The Pope said this at the Angelus recited in Castel Gandolfo. Pope Leo XIV then added: «We are the Church of Jesus Christ in a tormented world, a world that seeks peace».

The Pope continued by renewing the appeal, welcomed with long applause by the faithful at Castel Gandolfo, «for the repeated violence against the Palestinian civilian population in the West Bank to cease and I urgently ask the international community to ensure that the two-state solution for a just and lasting peace progresses».
