Influencer 'Clavicular' faces rape and drugging charges in Massachusetts

Controversial “looksmaxxing” influencer, Clavicular, is facing rape and drugging charges stemming from an incident in Massachusetts last year, according to online court records.

Clavicular, 20, whose real name is Braden Peters, has been charged with one count of rape, one count of drugging someone for sexual intercourse and one count of procuring liquor for someone under 21 years old, according to court records viewed by The Independent.

The alleged incident took place on May 23, 2025, in Chatham, a seaside town on Cape Cod, according to the charges filed on September 8. Details about the allegations were not immediately known.

Online court records did not list an attorney for the influencer. Mitchell Jackson, a representative for Clavicular, told NBC News that The Bulwark, which first reported the charges, was “exaggerating,” and that Clavicular had not been served with an arrest warrant.

“Braden Peters has not been physically served. As usual the Bulwark is exaggerating,” Jackson told the outlet.

Clavicular gained notoriety for a trend among young men known as “looksmaxxing,” which Merriam-Webster Dictionary recently defined as “The practice of taking one or more sometimes extreme or dangerous measures intended to increase one’s physical attractiveness.”

The influencer and streamer, who has over 1 million followers on social media, gets his name from the clavicle, or collarbone, which is a highly prized feature within the looksmaxxing community.

Clavicular was sued in April by a teenage influencer in Florida who accused him of battery.

At the time, an attorney for Peters, Steve Kramer, said: “Mr. Peters denies the claims and disputes the characterization of events. He will respond through the appropriate legal channels and intends to vigorously defend himself.”

Jackson, the influencer’s rep, told The Independent that the newest charges are related to the civil lawsuit, which was filed by a woman who said the incident occurred when she was 17. The earlier lawsuit mentions that Clavicular injected the teen with Aqualyx to melt the fat on her cheeks, even though he wasn’t licensed to perform injections and the medication wasn’t approved by the FDA.

“Clavicular then filed a motion to dismiss fighting the civil lawsuit because letter/text messages show she knew what was happening with the injections and he refused to pay money," the rep claimed.

Online records do not indicate whether the charges of rape, drugging or procurement of alcohol for someone under the age of 21 were related to the allegations in that lawsuit.

Clavicular took to X Monday night to address the allegations, resharing The Bulwark’s article and writing, “What is this s***? Community notes?”

A community note underneath noted that “a community note is not needed in the quoted tweet as Clavicular has indeed been charged.”

If convicted on the rape charge, he faces up to 20 years in prison and would be required to register as a sex offender.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on October 14, according to online court records.
