'PKK' statement from the Iraqi government: High-level coordination is being carried out with Türkiye

Iraqi Government Spokesperson Haydar Abbudi made a statement to his country's official agency INA. Abbudi stated that the Shayb Border Gate between Iran and Iraq is not technically ready for use yet, and trade between the two countries continues through other border gates.

Arguing that the allegations that there are headquarters of the Houthis in Iraq are unfounded, Abbudi said that the country's territory will not be allowed to be used to threaten neighboring countries.

Abbudi noted that high-level coordination is being carried out with Türkiye regarding the resolution of the terrorist organization PKK file in Iraq and its removal from Iraq.

The Iraqi Spokesperson stated that high-level coordination was achieved with Iran to resolve the issue of Iranian Kurdish armed groups in Iraq and a joint committee was established in this context.
