According to measurements made by the European Union's (EU) Copernicus satellite system on August 16, 3 thousand 636 decares of land were damaged in the fire on İskiri Island.

It was determined that the pine forest, most of which was re-formed after the fire in the same area in 2008, was damaged in the fire.

In the statement made by the Greek Fire Brigade, it was reported that the fire was largely under control and there was no active fire front left.

It was stated in the statement that fire crews continued to intervene in small fire points and smoke areas scattered in the region, and that cooling efforts were continuing against possible re-flares.

It was noted that an investigation was initiated by the Euboea Arson Crimes Investigation Unit to determine the cause of the fire.
