The ISU refused to return neutral status to Russian figure skaters Valieva and Kondratyuk

The International Skating Union (ISU) issued a verdict on the appeals of Russian figure skaters Kamila Valieva and Mark Kondratyuk to return to neutral status. This is reported on the organization's website.

The ISU did not return the skaters to neutral status. In addition, the organization decided not to provide it to Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin. It is noted that all of these athletes “do not meet the requirements to participate as individual neutral athletes.”

“Each of these decisions can be appealed in the manner provided for in the ISU Statutes and Rules. The ISU will not make further comments on specific cases while the possibility of appeal remains,” the organization’s press service said.
