MOSCOW, October 9 - RIA Novosti. The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF group) at the Digital Solutions forum presented tools to support the entry of domestic IT products into foreign markets, according to a REC press release.
REC Client Operations Director Alexey Mudrakov took part in the session “Export of IT solutions: support tools, barriers and promising areas of development” as part of the Digital Solutions forum. The session was moderated by the president of the Russoft association, Valentin Makarov.
Participants discussed current barriers to entry of Russian IT products into foreign markets and available government support measures. Mudrakov presented REC tools aimed at high-tech exports.
“The most popular REC tool for IT companies remains participation in exhibitions and business missions. In 2027, the list includes five major IT exhibitions in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, Morocco and Uzbekistan. This is the maximum number for the IT sector during its work, which demonstrates the focus that we pay to the development of high-tech Russian exports,” Mudrakov said.
He also said that the new advertising and information promotion tool, launched by REC in the summer of 2026, has high potential for IT companies. The mechanism allows holders of the “Made in Russia” certificate to post materials about their products and solutions in the media or with specialized bloggers abroad. Currently, the list includes 12 countries.
“Software export is a necessary condition for the competitiveness of Russian IT companies in the international market. Without active work with friendly countries, it is impossible for Russia to achieve global technological leadership. We need not only to support the export of IT products and services, but also to develop the transfer of trusted technologies that will serve as the foundation for the technological sovereignty of the partner country,” Makarov said.
“In this way, we help friendly countries develop independence from Western decisions, and Russian companies gain access to a market that is multiples larger than the domestic one. But the implementation of such a model is possible only with the coordination of efforts between development companies and their associations with government authorities,” he added.
The discussion was also attended by Oleg Arsenyev, director for international development of the ITGlobal cloud provider, Vladislav Misan, deputy general director of Geoscan Moscow, Vladimir Lavrov, general director of the Softline group of companies, and Alexander Sinelobov, minister of digital development and communications of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The Digital Solutions 2026 forum received 20 thousand guests from 100 countries. The event brought together government and business representatives, developers and customers of Russian digital industry projects. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin spoke at the plenary session of the forum.
REC is a state institution that supports non-resource non-energy exports (NNE). It provides companies from various industries with both financial and non-financial assistance at all stages of entering international markets, including within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”. Most of the Center's services are available on the digital government platform "My Export" ("Government Services for Foreign Economic Activity").
