Woman dies after falling from motorcycle and being run over by a trailer in Dutra, in São José dos Campos

According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the accident happened at km 145, towards Rio de Janeiro. The motorcycle was occupied by the woman and her boyfriend, who was driving the vehicle.

According to the incident report, the motorcycle overturned for reasons still unknown, and the two occupants were thrown to the ground. The driver of the truck tried to swerve, but was unable to avoid running over the passenger, who died at the scene.

The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was taken to Vila Industrial Municipal Hospital. According to the PRF, he was also in a state of shock.

The driver of the truck reported to the police that he did not see what caused the motorcycle to fall and later realized that one of the vehicle's rear tires was flat. He underwent a breathalyzer test, with a negative result.

Forensics were called in to help clarify the circumstances of the accident. According to the Civil Police, there is still not enough evidence to attribute responsibility to the truck driver.
