Truck and Pickup Truck Collision on Izmir-Ankara D300 Highway: 1 Dead, 4 Injured

The accident occurred at around 23:00 at the Esenyazı Junction of the Izmir-Ankara D300 highway. According to the information obtained, P.G., who wanted to turn to the D300 highway from Esenyazı District and return to Izmir. The truck with plate number 45 AKZ 154, driven by Sadık Karaduman (21), was hit from behind by the truck with plate number 34 MIY 971, which was traveling from Izmir to Uşak.

Due to the intensity of the collision, 5 people in the truck were trapped inside the vehicle. After the citizens who saw the accident reported it to the 112 Emergency Call Center, many health, fire brigade, gendarmerie and police teams were dispatched to the scene. As a result of the work of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Kula Fire Department teams, 5 people trapped in the vehicle were removed and handed over to medical teams.

Ramazan Oslu (21), who was a passenger in the truck in the accident, died at Kula State Hospital, where he was taken, despite all the intervention of doctors. The seriously injured pickup truck driver Sadık Karaduman (21) and passengers Ömer Yaman (22) and Mehmet Ünver (21) were referred to Salihli State Hospital and Manisa Celal Bayar University Hospital for further treatment after their first intervention at Kula State Hospital. The other seriously injured Ahmet Altürk was taken to Salihli State Hospital after first aid at the scene. It was learned that the treatment of the injured continues.

Due to the accident, traffic flow in the Uşak direction of the Izmir-Ankara D300 Highway stopped for a while. Following the work of the teams, transportation was restored in a controlled manner, and security measures were taken in the region.
