A truck and a motorcycle collided on the Izmir-Ankara highway, and the motorcycle driver died.

The accident occurred around 19:00 near the intersection of the Izmir - Ankara highway and Ahmet Sıtkı Efendi Street. The truck with plate number 20 AHK 146, driven by Ömer K. (54), heading towards Ankara, and the motorcycle with plate number 45 AZA 117, driven by Alaaddin Üzülmez, collided. While the motorcycle overturned and was dragged, its driver Üzülmez was trapped under the truck. Upon notice, health, fire brigade and police teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Upon check-up by the medical team, it was determined that Üzülmez had died. Üzülmez's body was taken to the morgue of Turgutlu State Hospital for autopsy after the examination at the scene of the accident.

The police detained the truck driver and launched an investigation into the accident.
