The images show the moment when the military managed to corner the alligator on the sidewalk. To facilitate capture, they used blankets to cover the animal's vision. They then contained it safely, using a ram equipped with a steel cable loop.

After being captured, the alligator was placed in a metal box and transported to a nearby river, where it was released by the Environmental Military Police. The information was confirmed by the sergeant of the Military Fire Department in Nova Andradina, Edson Amarante Dias.

The PMA advises that, when identifying the presence of wild animals, especially in urban areas, the population should not attempt to capture or approach them. It is recommended to contact environmental teams and inform the location where the animal was seen so that the rescue can be carried out safely.
