Artificial intelligence move from Japan for cyber attacks

According to Kyodo News, new measures to strengthen cyber security were announced at the meeting attended by Japanese Prime Minister Takaiçi Sanae and ministers.

The package aims to identify security vulnerabilities in computer systems using artificial intelligence, increase information collection and analysis capacity, develop strategic intervention methods against cyber attacks, and provide support to institutions affected by attacks.

The government will establish a special team of high-level experts to combat cyber attacks and cooperate with international technology companies and artificial intelligence developers to access up-to-date information on vulnerabilities.

In addition, a "rescue team" consisting of public and private sector experts will be formed to assist companies affected by cyber attacks in the first response.

A separate team will also be assigned to provide preventive security advice to companies at risk of attack.
