A 27-year-old woman reported having been attacked by an app driver this Tuesday (22) in Teresina. The case was registered with the Civil Police.

Ao saírem do veículo, o homem correu atrás da passageira e a agrediu. As agressões pararam quando a mãe da vítima ameaçou chamar a polícia.
Uma jovem de 27 anos afirma ter sido agredida por um motorista de aplicativo após uma discussão sobre o local de desembarque da corrida, na terça-feira (22), em Teresina. According to the passenger, she suffered injuries to her face and one of her arms. The case was registered with the Civil Police.
The passenger reported that she was accompanied by her mother and was heading to a wake in the North Zone of Teresina, when the disagreement occurred.
According to the young woman, the race was requested towards the main entrance of the cemetery. As she approached the location, she asked the driver to continue to the point indicated on the app.
According to the report, the driver asked if he could stop before the final destination. Após receber uma resposta negativa, ele teria feito o retorno, mas seguiu para uma via lateral do cemitério.
A passageira afirmou que explicou que o desembarque deveria ocorrer na entrada principal e que a localização informada na plataforma correspondia àquele ponto.
Still according to Noemia, the driver ended the race before reaching his destination and started demanding that she and her mother leave the vehicle.
“He opened the doors and told us to get out,” he reported.
The young woman said she questioned the driver's attitude and argued that he should follow the information recorded in the app.
After disembarking, she claims she closed the vehicle door and began to walk away. At that moment, according to the passenger, the driver started to curse her because of the way the door was closed.
According to the report, the driver got out of the car and ran towards him.
"Eu já estava dando as costas quando ele me xingou porque eu bati a porta do carro dele. Aí ele saiu correndo atrás de mim tentando me bater", afirmou.
Segundo a passageira, o motorista só interrompeu as agressões após a mãe dela ameaçar chamar a polícia e registrar um boletim de ocorrência.
According to the young woman, the man retreated after realizing that the case would be reported to the authorities.
She said she contacted the Casa da Mulher Brasileira to register the case. The incident was subsequently forwarded to the 2nd Police District, responsible for measures related to the investigation.
Noemia informou que a Polícia Civil estabeleceu um prazo de até 15 dias para apresentar uma atualização sobre o andamento das investigações.
According to her, the transport platform should be activated to help identify the driver.
The victim also stated that he contacted the company responsible for the application. De acordo com a passageira, a plataforma informou que analisará o caso, disponibilizou um cupom de R$ 20 para futuras viagens e bloqueou a possibilidade de que ela volte a ser conectada ao mesmo condutor.
For Noemia, the situation left a feeling of insecurity and vulnerability.
"Eu me senti impotente, porque você está em uma corrida que, teoricamente, era para ser segura, por ser dentro de uma plataforma. Os motoristas deveriam ser verificados, mas aparentemente não são. O sentimento que dá é de impotência, você não se sente segura. E por ser mulher, querendo ou não, você se torna um alvo mais fácil para essas agressões acontecerem", desabafou.
