Young man is executed with 12 shots at a tire repair shop in Campo Grande, and the duo escapes on foot after the motorcycle fails

After the shooting, the pair tried to escape on a motorcycle, but the vehicle had a mechanical problem. The men still tried to push him, but ended up abandoning the motorcycle and fleeing on foot.

According to the police report, the crime occurred around 5:20 pm. Kayk went to the tire shop to fix his motorcycle tire when he was surprised by the two shooters. He tried to escape by running around the side of the establishment, but was chased by the back of the motorcycle and shot.

After the crime, the pair tried to escape on the motorcycle used in the execution, but the vehicle did not work. The men still tried to push him, but abandoned the motorcycle about 88 meters from the scene of the crime and ran away.

Police hope to rely on images from neighborhood security cameras to identify the path used by the suspects to escape.

Deputy Roberto Carlos Morgado Pires, responsible for the incident, requested a papilloscopic examination of the motorcycle, to try to identify possible fingerprints. However, the exam was postponed due to the rain that was falling at the time of the escape. According to police records, the motorcycle was stolen.

At the tire shop, experts collected 20 ammunition cases, two intact projectiles and five fragments. According to the preliminary analysis, at least 12 shots hit the victim in the back, buttocks, foot, hand and face.

The case was registered at the Community Emergency Care Station (Depac) of the Integrated Police Center (Cepol) as a qualified homicide by ambush.
