Femicide in Kahramanmaraş: He committed suicide after shooting his wife with a shotgun

The murder of a woman in Kahramanmaraş took place yesterday evening in Merciktenpe District of Onikişubat district.

Allegedly, Tevfik Bağrıaçık (56) started arguing with his wife Dilek Bağrıaçık (49) for an undetermined reason.

As the argument escalated, Tevfik Bağrıaçık shot Dilek Bağrıaçık with the shotgun he brought with him. Tevfik Bağrıaçık later shot himself with the same gun.

Upon notice, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. During the checks carried out by the medical teams, it was determined that Tevfik and Dilek Bağrıaçık lost their lives.

The couple's relatives, who heard the sad news and came to the scene, burst into tears.

Following the investigation at the scene, the bodies of Tevfik Bağrıaçık and Dilek Bağrıaçık, who had four children, were taken to the morgue of the Kahramanmaraş Forensic Medicine Institute. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
