New details have emerged in the serial murders in İHSANİYE district, in which 8 people were killed with a shotgun and 2 people were injured. Arif Sefa Özdemir, a combine harvester operator and farmer in Bozhüyük village, committed massacres in 3 different villages and 4 different points.

The first stop of the murders committed in villages close to each other was Ayazini village. Özdemir first killed Numan and Bekir Toprak and Ahmet Uzel, with whom he had debt problems, by shooting them in the head in the rural area outside the village at 15.10.

Özdemir, who started his journey of massacre, continued his serial murders by stealing vehicles to escape after committing the first murders. 20 minutes after his first attack, he killed Seydi Ahmet Aydoğmuş (73) and his wife Satı Aydoğmuş (68), who were in the car he stopped while driving in Kıyır village at 15.30, by shooting them in the head from close range. After removing the bodies of the Aydoğmuş couple from the vehicle and placing them side by side, he took their vehicle and continued to escape.

About 1 kilometer later, he stopped the vehicle of İsmail Şen, who was buying and selling animals. Özdemir, who killed Şen here, continued his murder journey.

Özdemir then shot Sevgi Postalcı in the head as she went to pick up her children from school in Afyonkarahisar city center. Severely injured mother of three children, Sevgi Postalcı, continues her treatment in the hospital. There was mourning in the villages of İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar. "I bought a combine harvester from Kırşehir native Numan Toprak with a term loan for 40 thousand Euros, and started working around Manisa and Izmir. While I was working in a field in Izmir, the combine harvester suddenly burned down and became unusable. I owed 4 thousand Euros for the combine harvester, but I was asked for 11 thousand Euros. Since I did not accept this debt, there were arguments and fights between us. I invited them to the village. After meeting at the entrance of Gazlıgöl, I called the people to Ayazini village. We argued, and after this discussion, I decided to kill these people. I pulled the people to the rural area, saying 'Let's go to get money from my father and look at the field.' I approached the front of the vehicle and shot them 2 times, aiming at their heads to kill Numan and the person next to him. When I saw him moving, I shot him one more time and made sure he was dead.

After the first murders, other incidents occurred to change vehicles on the escape route. I killed Seydi Ahmet Aydoğmuş and Satı Aydoğmuş, who were in the vehicle with plate number 35 AG 5198, which I stopped on the Kıyır village road, because they did not give up their vehicles. While I was driving, I shot İsmail Şen in the head and killed him when he saw the rifle and said he would call the police. At the Selimiye village location, I opened fire on a truck that was cornering me. As I approached Yukarıtandır village in İhsaniye district, I stopped the black vehicle to change the vehicle. There were three women in the vehicle. The one in the front seat got out. I told the person who got out that I had killed many people and that I needed a vehicle to escape. The other two people went down. First I counted from 10, then from 5. When I saw that they did not get off and did not leave the phone, I aimed and shot at both of them separately and killed them. I did not harm the person who got out of the vehicle.

After this incident, I rear-ended another vehicle in front of me and then went to the Eskişehir Seyitgazi border. I took the vehicle of citizens collecting mushrooms in Kırka and Taşlık neighborhoods, and then another vehicle, at gunpoint. I found the houses of the headmen in the villages I entered and introduced myself as 'inspection officer from Ankara' and 'MİT personnel'. I tried to buy the service pistols, but I couldn't. I escaped on foot after the vehicle got stuck in the mud. I bought a vehicle with its keys in Taşlık District. After the gendarmerie's 'Stop' warning, I got out of the vehicle and started to run away on foot. Then I got caught. "I regret what I did, I didn't know what I was doing under the influence of alcohol."

It was learned that Arif Sefa Özdemir, who was arrested for 'intentional murder of more than one person', lived in Bozhüyük village of İhsaniye district, got married in 2021 and divorced 3 years later, and was the father of 1 child.

The murders of Science Teacher Ayşe Sena Demir and Religious Culture and Ethics Teacher Hilal Mete, who were working at Yukarıtandır Secondary School, left the village in mourning. Ayşe Sena Demir's mother, Hayrunissa Demir, who lives in Antalya, said that she learned about the incident on television: “There was a subtitle on television about the incident in İhsaniye. The body of Hilal Mete (31), mother of one child, was taken from the morgue of Afyonkarahisar State Hospital and brought to the Pasha Mosque in the city center. Hilal Mete's wife and relatives came to the coffin and shed tears.
It was learned that Hilal Mete, who was buried in Afyonkarahisar Bayraktepe Cemetery after the noon prayer, requested to be transferred to her hometown, Afyonkarahisar, two years ago in order to be with her father, who was left alone after the death of her mother. (DHA)
