Missing father's bones found! He killed the children and buried them in the field

In the investigations carried out regarding the disappearance of Rıza Güzel, born in 1955, on February 5, 2006; After it was determined that the traces and signs that he was missing did not reflect the truth, an investigation was launched by the Kırşehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of 'intentional murder'.

Following the establishment of the Unsolved Crimes Investigation Department within the General Directorate of Criminal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, the file was re-evaluated.

In the investigation, suspicions were focused on family members after it was determined that Rıza Güzel did not leave the village on the date of the incident, that he resided in the village and that there were frequent arguments within the family. Studies continued based on the suspects' contradictory statements, their lack of interest in the matter, witness statements and research conducted in the region.

"OPERATION ON 6 ADDRESSES IN 3 PROVINCES"

As part of the investigation, an operation was carried out at 6 different addresses in 3 provinces on October 6, 2026. During the operation, a total of 7 suspects, including Rıza Güzel's wife and 6 children, were caught and detained. Following the suspects' confessions and location, bone fragments believed to belong to the victim were found in the land of Köşker village. Z. Güzel, L. Güzel, B. Güzel, Z. Ş., B. Ş., M. Güzel and C. Güzel, who were taken into custody, were referred to Kırşehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

2 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED

Among the suspects whose statements were taken at the prosecutor's office, L. Güzel and B. Güzel were referred to the court with a request for arrest, and Z. Güzel with a request for judicial control. The court decided to arrest L. Güzel and B. Güzel and to impose judicial control on Z. Güzel.

In his post on his social account, Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated that the file of Rıza Güzel, whose family filed a missing person complaint in Akpınar district of Kırşehir on February 5, 2006, was re-examined and said, "The witness statements, contradictory statements of family members, communication records and technical investigations were evaluated together and evidence was obtained that the incident carried suspicion of intentional murder. 7 suspects were detained in the operations carried out at 6 addresses in three provinces. As a result of the statements and location of the suspects." Bone fragments thought to belong to Rıza Güzel were found. As a result of the forensic investigation, 2 of the suspects were arrested and a judicial control order was issued for 1 of them. he said.
