Reaction from KESK to "My Family is Safe" Operations

KESK made a statement regarding the operations launched under the name "My Family is Safe" and targeting LGBTI+ people.

In the statement made on the Confederation's social media account, the following was noted:

''VIOLATIONS OF THE PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE CANNOT BE ACCEPTED''

"The political power violates the prohibition of discrimination by targeting LGBTI+ associations and institutions by saying 'My Family is Safe.' Violations of freedom of association, freedom of expression, protection of private life and presumption of innocence are unacceptable.

The government must immediately end all pressures aimed at preventing hate speech and freedom of association and rights advocacy activities. "Those who have been detained unlawfully should be released, and access restrictions to web pages and social media accounts should be lifted."
