Bridges in Kiev were targeted by Russian drone attack, during his visit to Merz

Bridges in Kiev have been the target of Russian drones for 4 days. Finally, a drone attack was carried out on the North Bridge in the capital. The explosion occurred after the rapidly approaching drone hit the bridge.

In the images shared on social media, it can be seen that a small crater formed at the hit point of the bridge.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz was also in Kiev when the North Bridge was hit. It is known that Merz, who came to Kiev with a surprise visit, had military aid to Ukraine on his agenda.

Meeting with Ukrainian President Volodomir Zelenski, Merz said, "If Russia is not stopped, sooner or later the war machine will turn against us."

During Merz's visit, air alarms were heard going off in Ukraine from time to time.

STATEMENT FROM RUSSIA

After the bridge attack, a statement came from the Russian Ministry of Defense. In the statement, it was stated that attacks on military facilities, defense industry facilities and related infrastructure in Kiev and other regions of Ukraine will be increased.

Moscow cited Zelensky's last words as the reason for this statement. Zelenski had said that they would increase attacks on oil refineries in Russia, but they would not target civilians.
