There are families that cannot make ends meet, there is unemployment, there are drugs, the parliament cannot do its job. There is a decay in institutions. We need to focus on these problems. If there is corruption somewhere, of course corruption must be fought. It's not right for this to be one-dimensional. I voiced the corruption in AK Party municipalities. What happened? Nothing happened. This double standard is against the founding principles of democracy and is unacceptable.

What will be your attitude when the summaries of proceedings regarding some MPs are received?

In cases of corruption, representatives should say, "I will hold you accountable." If he is focused on individual interests, eats people's money, and serves himself and his family, he should have no business in parliament. He came there to get rich.

You said that you do not see Ekrem İmamoğlu as a political prisoner. Do you agree?

Certainly. The reason for his arrest is not because of his political statements. He is being tried for other reasons. So are other mayors. But I just stated that there is a double standard. The judiciary should not be politicized. The judiciary should not be used as a cudgel. I don't think it's right for anyone's house to be raided. First, you pick him up early in the morning, he stays in jail... What happens if you don't find evidence after a while? I don't find the judicial systems correct either?

You have to be a founding independent power in the new world order. Otherwise you will lose a lot. Türkiye has to be a regional power, otherwise you cannot have a say in the world.
