Kimi Antonelli wins the Italian Grand Prix in Monza after a comeback from the back

Historic feat by Kimi Antonelli. The Italian from Mercedes, leader of the drivers' world championship, wins the Italian GP in Monza after starting from the back. Second place for teammate George Russell. Third on the podium is Max Verstappen with Red Bull. Behind him were the McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, while Lewis Hamilton finished sixth with the Ferrari, the only one at the finish line after the accident that sidelined Charles Leclerc on the fourth lap.

An Italian returns to win the Monza Grand Prix after 60 years. Before Kimi Antonelli, the feat had been achieved way back in 1966 by Ludovico Scarfiotti with Ferrari.

The Monza Formula 1 Grand Prix has restarted, with a second start from the grid after two reconnaissance laps. The race was suspended for about 30 minutes due to Charles Leclerc's accident at the Parabolica with the Ferrari.

The FI Grand Prix of Monza was stopped after the accident in which Charles Leclerc was the protagonist. The Ferrari driver is taken to the medical center for checks. According to initial estimates, the Monegasque hit the barriers at the Parabolica at around 200 km/h. Meanwhile all the other drivers are in the pits with their cars. On the track, the protective barriers at the point of impact are being adjusted
