Fire on Plane Used as Aviation Science Center in Kocaeli

A fire broke out at around 15:00 on the plane used as the Aviation Science Center on Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Street, Şekerpınar District, Çayırova district of Kocaeli.

Upon notice, fire brigade and police teams were dispatched to the scene. While the flames surround the fuselage of the plane, firefighters continue to intervene.

In 2018, the Airbus A340 type passenger plane, with a wingspan of 60 and a fuselage length of 64 meters, was brought to the district piece by piece with 14 trucks, deployed on a 17-decare land, and later assembled, and began to serve as the Aviation Science Center.
