Gendarmerie specialist sergeant was martyred after a wedding shooting in Konya Emirgazi

The incident took place at around 20:00 at a wedding held in Demirci District of Konya's Emirgazi district. Abidin Ü. allegedly fired a gun into the air during the wedding. The bullet from the gun hit Specialist Sergeant Serkan Deveci, who was on leave. Upon notice, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon check-up by the medical team, it was determined that Deveci had died. After the investigation at the scene, Deveci's dead body was taken to the morgue for autopsy. The gendarmerie, who detained Abidin Ü., continues its investigation into the incident.
