Three people were killed with a hunting rifle in Korkuteli, the suspect was caught in the forest

The incident took place around 05:00 yesterday in Karakuyu District of Korkuteli district. Sefer Coşkun drove his car to the house where Ayşegül Coşkun and her parents, with whom he was in the process of divorcing, lived. Here, an argument broke out between the parties. Meanwhile, Coşkun shot and killed his wife Ayşegül Coşkun, mother-in-law Cemile Engel and father-in-law Ahmet Engel with the hunting rifle he brought with him.

Upon notice, many gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the address. The bodies of Ayşegül Coşkun, her mother Cemile and her father Ahmet Engel were taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after examination. The bodies, whose procedures were completed here, were handed over to their relatives.

SUSPENSION DECISION

It was revealed that Ahmet Engel moved from his hometown, Aksu district, to Korkuteli in order to escape the pressures of his son-in-law during the separation process, and brought his wife, daughter and grandchild with him. It was also noted that there was a restraining order against Sefer Coşkun. On the other hand, it was determined that Sefer Coşkun made threatening posts on his virtual media account.

Following the incident, the teams launched a multifaceted effort to capture the suspect. Searches were intensified in the forest near the scene where the suspect might escape. As a result of the investigation, Sefer Coşkun was caught and taken into custody in the forest where he was hiding. The suspect was taken to the gendarmerie station for processing.
