Massacre in Antalya: He killed his wife, who was going through a divorce, and her parents.

The blood-curdling incident in Antalya took place yesterday morning at around 05:00 in the Karakuyu District of Korkuteli district.

Sefer Coşkun (38) went with his car to the house where Ayşegül Coşkun (35), with whom he was in the process of divorcing, and her parents lived.

Here, an argument broke out between the parties. During the argument, Coşkun shot and killed his wife Ayşegül Coşkun, his mother-in-law Cemile Engel (61) and his father-in-law Ahmet Engel (65) with the hunting rifle he brought with him.

Ayşegül Coşkun, mother of three children, was 35 years old.

According to the news in İHA, it was revealed that the family massacre committed by Sefer Coşkun was reported by the couple's 13-year-old eldest son, who pressed the report button on the KADES application during the shouting at home.

Upon notice, many gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the 3 children who were at home at the time of the incident were taken under protection, an investigation was launched to catch the suspect.

Searches were intensified in the forest near the scene where the suspect might escape. As a result of the investigation, Sefer Coşkun was caught and taken into custody in the forest where he was hiding.

The bodies of the three people who lost their lives were taken to the morgue of the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy after examinations at the scene. The bodies, whose procedures were completed, were handed over to their relatives for burial.

It was learned that the father, Ahmet Engel, who lost his life in the incident, moved from his hometown Aksu district to Korkuteli in order to escape the pressures of his son-in-law during the separation process, and took his wife, daughter and grandson with him.

It was also noted that there was a restraining order against Sefer Coşkun. On the other hand, it was determined that Sefer Coşkun made threatening posts on his virtual media account.
