In the statement made by Prima Pramac Yamaha, the team of Red Bull athlete Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, it was said: "After additional medical examinations in Milan, Toprak Razgatlıoğlu will undergo surgery on Monday, October 26, after being injured in the accident in Mandalika, and therefore will miss the rest of the season. It is planned that Yamaha test rider Augusto Fernandez will take part in the upcoming races instead of the athlete."

"Unfortunately, recent evaluations have confirmed that the damage requires surgical intervention to ensure optimal healing," the statement said.

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu said in his statement, "As a result of the medical evaluations made after the accident in Mandalika, it was understood that my shoulder injury was more serious than I first thought. As a result, I will have surgery in the coming days to maximize my chances of full recovery and returning with 100 percent performance. This was not an easy decision, but after meeting with the doctors and people closest to me, we were convinced that this was the right step for my future."

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, who holds the title of the first Turkish motorcyclist in MotoGP history, ranks 21st in the general classification with 18 points collected in 17 stages before the last 5 races of the season.
