KT signs a 5-year agreement with KAIST and Daim Research to develop an unmanned and automated manufacturing platform

Development of unmanned and automated manufacturing platform for 5 years with Dime Research

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Oh Ji-eun = KT [030200] announced on the 8th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Dime Research for the development and verification of physical AI technology.

This agreement was promoted after three organizations discussed business cooperation plans during the second phase of the 'Physical AI Alliance' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

The commercialization of the Dark Factory platform is centered on the project to create a collaborative intelligence physical AI-based SW platform research and development ecosystem promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

This project is to develop an AI-based unmanned automation platform so that manufacturing sites can operate autonomously, and three organizations will participate for five years.

The three organizations focus on developing manufacturing process automation technology based on the logistics and manufacturing robot control platform and robot technology owned by KAIST and Dime Research.

KT provides an operating platform that can integrate and manage robots and AI systems based on a data platform.

We plan to support real-time judgment and control of robots based on edge AI and ultra-high-speed, ultra-low-latency network infrastructure that immediately processes data in the field close to the robot to minimize delay time.
