Italy beats Slovakia and reaches the round of 16 of the men's European volleyball championship

Italy also beats Slovakia and reaches the round of 16 of the European men's volleyball championship. After the victories against Sweden and Greece, the Azzurri defeated Slovakia in 4 sets in the third match: at the PalaPanini in Modena it ended 3-1 for Ferdinando De Giorgi's team with scores of 25-17, 25-27, 25-10, 25-19. Thanks to this success, Italy is arithmetically in the round of 16.

Italy's victory against Slovakia

Italy won the first set against Slovakia with a score of 25-17, in 30 minutes of play. The Azzurri slowed down in the second set, with their opponents taking advantage and winning 27-25 after 36 minutes. In the third set Italy reacts and, in 22 minutes, beats Slovakia with a score of 25-10. The fourth set ends with the score 25-19 and is worth a 3 sets to 1 victory for Italy. Thanks to this success, the third consecutive at the European Championships, the Azzurri arithmetically secure the pass to the round of 16.
