La Courneuve: a man dies after an attack with a baseball bat

A thirty-year-old died in hospital after being hit with a baseball bat on Sunday September 13 in La Courneuve (Seine-Saint-Denis), where a group seemed to want revenge for shots in the legs inflicted on another man just before, we learned on Monday from a source close to the investigation. It all started on Sunday shortly after 6 a.m., in front of a private party hall in La Courneuve, according to a police source. Three people, in a car, then shot at a man, wounding him twice in one leg, before hitting a parked car.

Leaving the village hall, a group then found one of the men suspected of the shooting and hit him in the face with a baseball bat, according to the same police source. This man, born in 1994, was hospitalized on Sunday in a state of brain death, while the two other people suspected with him of the first attack were able to flee.
