The original "beautified" academic qualifications were secretly changed, triggering heated discussions among the outside world. Chen Shifen (pseudonym: Ong Darui), a professor living in the United States, broke the news today (27th) that not only did Jiang Wanan’s academic experience in the Legislative Yuan appear to be fraudulent, but the resume he uploaded on LinkedIn, the world’s largest business social platform, also contained false logins!
Chen Shifen shared a screenshot of Jiang Wanan's LinkedIn resume on Facebook this afternoon, saying, "Resume is a person's history, which can be used by others to evaluate abilities. It is a stepping stone to the job market and a certification for politicians to win elections. In Western society, fabricating false resumes is a capital crime for job hunting and running for elections. Jiang Wanan's resume in the Legislative Yuan It was found to be false, and the outside world made a fuss. Jiang Wanan's resume was not only posted on the Legislative Yuan's website, but also posted on social platforms. It is easy to check whether there is fraud. The attached picture is Jiang Wanan's own resume, which appeared on his LinkedIn account. I found 5 false postings in Jiang Wanan's resume.
The first is the degree from National Chengchi University. Chen Shifen discovered that Jiang Wanan graduated from the Department of Foreign Affairs of National Chengchi University, but the degree registered on his LinkedIn resume was only "Bachelor of Laws" (LL.B). He questioned "Jiang Wanan deliberately omitted to major in the Department of Foreign Affairs in order to beautify his legal background."
Next is the degree from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. Jiang Wanan obtained two degrees at the University of Pennsylvania, namely the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree for foreign students and the Doctor of Professional Law (J.D.). "The strange thing is that Jiang Wanan missed the LLM degree. A common resume deception is to add degrees that he has not obtained, but Jiang Wanan neglected to list the degrees that he has already obtained. What is going on? Jiang Wanan missed the list. The LLM degree is to disguise the fact that he transferred to the JD program at the University of Pennsylvania, but transferred from the LLM program. The admission rate for the JD program at the University of Pennsylvania is very low, and the score requirements for the entrance examination are also very high. The third one is the time of J.D. studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Jiang Wanan’s resume states that he studied from 2003 to 2006, but the truth is that “the J.D. program at the University of Pennsylvania lasts for 3 years, and the LLM program can be completed in just one year. Jiang Wanan studied at the University of Pennsylvania for 3 years, and spent 1 year first. After obtaining the LLM degree, he only needed to study for 2 more years after transferring to the JD program. Jiang Wanan obtained the LLM degree in one year, but he omitted this degree on his resume, so he had to add one year to the 2-year JD program, making people mistakenly think that he was a regular JD student. "
The fourth one is a blank in unemployed resume. Jiang Wanan’s first job in Silicon Valley was at WSGR, a large law firm, and he was fired after 2 years and 7 months. Jiang Wanan’s resume recorded a 2-month unemployment period (from April to June 2009), and then started working again. Chen Shifen pointed out that the contradiction here is that "Jiang Wanan publicly stated that it took him nearly 3 months to find a new job. Jiang Wanan's resume only has 2 months of blank space, but he spent 3 months looking for a job. Is it possible that he was in class before he found a job?"
"What's even more amazing is that Jiang Wanan's claimed start time was eight months earlier than the new company's record. According to the new company's website, Jiang Wanan's arrival was in February 2010, not June 2009. Jiang Wanan's unemployment period was as long as 10 months, but it was shortened to 2 months in his resume. The resume is blank. Two months is a normal job change, which means that you are popular in the workplace, or even actively changing jobs. On the other hand, being unemployed for 10 months means that you lack competitiveness in the workplace and cannot find a job smoothly. Shortening the unemployment period from 10 months to 2 months can achieve the effect of beautifying your resume, but the price is professional integrity, but Jiang Wanan doesn’t care.”
The fifth false login was a misplaced start-up time. It was learned that the second company Jiang Wanan worked for in Silicon Valley was quite small, with only single-digit employees; Jiang Wanan left his job just one year later to found his own law firm. Chen Shifen believes, "With Jiang Wanan's strength back then, he was simply not qualified to start his own business. According to Jiang Wanan's resume, the time of his resignation was the same as the time when he started his business, which was February 2011, which is a perfect connection. The strange thing is that the registration time of Jiang Wanan's law firm was October 2010. Jiang Wanan only resigned in February 2011, but he founded the company in October 2010. Establishing a company means starting a business on the job. The two months overlapped, giving Jiang Wanan the opportunity to benefit from personal gain, such as transferring the company's clients to his own firm. Starting a business on the job was inconsistent with professional ethics in the workplace, and even violated the employment contract. In order to avoid exposing his business on the job and triggering other legal disputes, Jiang Wanan postponed the start-up date on his resume for 4 months.
