Lula and Bolsonaro tied at 41% in a possible run-off according to Quaest poll

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro are tied at 41% of voting intentions in a possible runoff, according to a survey by the company Quaest released today. In the previous survey, published on September 2, Lula was at 42% and Bolsonaro at 41%. 13% of those interviewed declared that they would vote blank or blank, while 5% were undecided.

In the simulation of the first round, scheduled for October 4, Lula is at 36%, followed by Bolsonaro at 29%. In third place is the outsider and psychiatrist Augusto Cury with 8%, while Renan Santos and Ronaldo Caiado are at 3% and Romeu Zema at 2%. The survey, carried out between 3 and 6 September, also collected the impact of the crisis involving the Supreme Court and, in particular, judge Alexandre de Moraes, considered close to Lula. The survey has a margin of error of two percentage points and a reliability level of 95%.
