Accident during pre-match rope show. American soldier died

A terrible accident occurred during the rappelling demonstration held before the match to be played at the Alamodome Stadium in the US state of Texas.

According to the images shared on social media, it is seen that the US Air Force soldier lost his balance while descending to the ground with the rope attached to the ceiling and crashed to the ground from a height of meters. The soldier was intervened in the field for a few minutes and was taken out of the field on a stretcher. The soldier, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, died in the hospital.

The match started approximately 10 minutes late due to the accident.

According to information on the U.S. Air Force website, the soldiers participating in the demonstration were part of a team of experts trained to rappel from helicopters, sometimes 30 meters or more above the ground.
