Family massacre in Malatye: Son stabbed his father to death

The incident took place yesterday evening in Kaleköy District.

An argument broke out between Taner Ekici and his father Mithat Ekici for an unknown reason. As the argument escalated, Taner Ekici attacked his father with the knife he took. Mithat Ekici, who was injured as a result of the knife blows he received, fell to the ground covered in blood.

Upon the notice of the neighbors who heard the sounds coming from the house, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the address. Mithat Ekici, who was taken to Kale District State Hospital after the first intervention of the teams, died at night despite all the efforts of the doctors.

Taner Ekici was caught and taken into custody by the gendarmerie teams along with the criminal equipment. The body of Mithat Ekici, a doner kebab master, was taken to the Malatya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.
