Maria do Carmo contests election with proposals for Manaus Free Zone

Maria do Carmo is running for the position through the "Mudar é Urgente" coalition, formed by the Liberal Party (PL). She has already run for other positions. In 2024, she was a candidate for vice-mayor of Manaus on the ticket of Captain Alberto Neto (PL). In 2022, he ran for the position of substitute for then-candidate Arthur Neto (PSDB).

According to the candidate, the Free Zone should once again contribute to the development of the interior and border cities. She cited sectors such as mining, fertilizers, oil and gas, the shipping industry and fisheries to diversify the economy.

Professor Maria do Carmo's agenda continued in the morning with the presentation of proposals for Fieam and Cieam. During the afternoon, he makes recordings for the electoral program. Conclude the agenda by participating in a meeting with supporters and leaders from the North Zone of Manaus.

The electoral campaign began on August 16 across the country. Candidates can now advertise on the streets and on the internet. On TV and radio, advertising starts this Friday (28). The first round of elections will be on October 4th.
