Propaganda Campaign on the Mecca Alliance and the Houthis

It does not even have a signed text or parliamentary approval yet, but it is under pressure to use it as a tool of intervention. As you guessed, we are talking about the Mecca alliance.

ALLIANCE POSITION

As we have stated in several of our reviews, the Mecca alliance is positive to the extent that it can be an alternative to the US security architecture, but negative to the extent that it takes a position against Iran that complements the US's burden-sharing strategy.

Although the alliance was propagated as "the model developed by the region against Israel" for the political Islamist base, Turkish and Saudi officials, in particular, emphasized from the beginning that the alliance was not against anyone. In fact, President Erdogan recently stated in an interview with a foreign media that the alliance is not against Israel or Iran. (Undoubtedly, it is against the nature of things that such defense partnerships can be formed without a "common threat perception".)

THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE USA

One of the stated propaganda is that the Mecca alliance was established against Israel, which pursues aggressive policies in the region, and that the USA and Israel are against the alliance for this reason.

Erdoğan's statement, which I mentioned above, already denies the Israeli dimension. The Americans themselves deny that the USA is against it. On the contrary, there are statements stating that this alliance is part of "Trump's Middle East strategy". Moreover, Turkish and Saudi officials state that the alliance complements their alliance with the United States. As a matter of fact, some Americans openly wanted the Mecca alliance to take action against the Ansarullah movement (Houthis) in Yemen.

This is the crux of the matter for the USA. Taking action against the Houthis in Yemen through the Mecca alliance means that Turkey will actually come face to face with Iran, which has been Washington's 40-year-old goal.

Of course, it is not easy to get Turkey to accept this, even though the government has shown that it is enthusiastic by giving the "green light". That's why they started to set a Mecca/Kaaba trap for the Mecca alliance:

POLITICAL ISLAMIC CAMPAIGN

It is stated that for the last 10 days, the Houthis have been constantly targeting Mecca with missiles and UAVs, but Saudi Arabia has prevented the attacks. Although they try to present it as "an anti-Muslim movement that even targets the Kaaba", it is obvious that the Houthis have not done such a thing. As a matter of fact, the Houthis state that this is an intelligence activity aimed at isolating themselves in the region.

But despite everything, it has some effect. For days, the Turkish public has been carrying out propaganda that the Houthis are targeting the Kaaba. Based on this, they compare the Houthis with Israel in terms of evil. The goal is clear: Some political Islamist groups are preparing the public for US Senator Joe Wilson's call for "the Mecca alliance to take action against the Houthis."

INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY

As long as the Mecca trap set against the Mecca alliance does not work, they deepen the trap. The last trap was a complete intelligence operation:

As you may have seen, a video was served and the images read "Attempt to attack the Kaaba! Suicide bomber was neutralized!" It was announced. Then it was said that it was the Houthi who targeted the Kaaba. It was then claimed that the Houthi suicide bomber was personally appointed by Iran. Finally, it was propagated that Iran, which targeted the Kaaba, was even more dangerous to the region than Israel.

As can be seen, it is a complete intelligence activity: The aim is to provide legitimacy to the US-Israel's war targeting Iran in the eyes of Arabs and Muslims in the region.

So what's really going on? Let alone a Houthi, the person caught in the Kaaba is not even a suicide bomber. According to the official statement of Saudi security sources, the officers in the Kaaba are actually intervening in a madman who is disturbing passers-by.
