The repercussions of the arrest of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer, Yenişehir Mayor Abdullah Özyiğit and Mezitli Mayor Ahmet Serkan Tuncer continue.

Reacting to the arrest warrants given against three mayors with a statement on his social media account, NEW Party Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir said:

"Those who try to break the wrist they could not bend at the ballot box with false conspiracies and the judicial stick should know that the will of the people of Mersin cannot be handcuffed. We stand with Vahap Seçer, Abdullah Özyiğit and Ahmet Serkan Tuncer against this political conspiracy set up to block the service.
