He had two set balls. Hurkacz clashed with Musetti in Paris

The meeting lasted one hour and 45 minutes.

Monday's match promised to be even, because the tennis players are in similar positions in the world ranking - Hurkacz is 29th, and Musetti - 24th. In the direct competition before this meeting, the Italian was leading 3-2.

The match actually turned out to be extremely even and fierce, in both sets neither player was able to break the other, both players held the serve quite confidently, not allowing their opponent to score too many points. In both games, the winner was determined by a tie-break, each time played better by the 24-year-old Italian, although the Pole, five years older than him, had two set points.

The Wrocław player lost the match mainly due to the number of mistakes - he made 26 of them, compared to 13 of his opponent.

In the second round, Musetti will play against the new leader of the world ranking, German Alexander Zverev.

Jan Zieliński will also appear in Paris, who together with Australian Marek Polmans will face Argentines Francisco Cerundolo and Tomas Martin Etcheverry in doubles on Monday.
