The National Solidarity and Integration Coordination Board convened at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
Cevdet Yılmaz had announced that the executive board, established within the scope of the "Terror-Free Türkiye" process and chaired by him, would hold its second meeting this morning.
Speaking at the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions Opinion Leaders Meeting, Yılmaz said, "Let me give you some news here, hopefully we will have our second meeting in the morning as a board. What is the duty of this board? To follow the process. We have created four sub-committees within this framework. One is a sub-commission that will look at the judicial and legal process. The second is a sub-committee that oversees social integration and harmony. The third is a sub-committee that will monitor and follow the field. The fourth is a sub-committee that we call disarmament and strategic coordination." he said.
It was stated that the meeting would be held in the morning at the Presidential Complex, closed to the press.
"THERE ARE TWO BASIC STAGES IN THE LAW"
Stating that the process is a Turkish model and that there is no third eye, Yılmaz said, "There are two basic stages in the law, and I would like to express this very clearly. This law in itself foresees two stages. The first stage is the laying down of weapons and the dissolution of the organization with all its elements. As you know, the organization made this decision itself. It said, 'I am now dissolving myself.' Its founder made a call, and the organization responded positively to this call, saying, 'I will dissolve myself.' But of course, it is necessary to see this happen on the field. Therefore, the first "The first step is to detect this disarmament and disarmament process in the field, report it and confirm it with the National Security decision. Once this detection and confirmation process is completed, the second phase is not started. This detection and confirmation process is currently ongoing. We will continue to work on this process meticulously and in coordination with all our relevant institutions. And hopefully, we will complete this process successfully. In the second stage, there are certain legal processes, those processes will be put into effect." he said.
THE FIRST MEETING WAS HELD LAST MONTH
The first meeting chaired by Cevdet Yılmaz was attended by Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi and Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, as well as MİT President İbrahim Kalın, Secretary General of the National Security Council Okay Memiş and Secretary General of the Presidency Hakkı Susmaz.
In the written statement made after the meeting, it was stated that within the scope of the first board meeting, the functioning of the board and the highest level coordination of the work to be carried out by all state institutions involved in the process were discussed in detail, and the procedures and principles to be followed in the conduct and management of the board's work were discussed.
It was stated that it was decided to establish the Judicial and Legal Affairs Coordination Sub-Commission, Monitoring and Detection Sub-Commission, Social Cohesion and Integration Sub-Commission and Disarmament and Strategic Coordination Sub-Commission.
It was underlined that Türkiye will continue to resolutely implement these historical steps that will strengthen social integration, in full coordination with all its institutions.
