National athlete Alp Aksoy is one step closer to his Formula 1 goal:

16-year-old Alp Aksoy, who started racing in Formula 4 with Italy's Prema Racing team last year, became the champion in the Formula Trophy Series where F4 cars are used. Climbing the steps of success one by one, Alp was accepted to the academy, which trained young talents within Ferrari and helped them rise to Formula 1.

Alp, who aims to improve himself at the academy where many pilots such as Charles Leclerc, Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll, Mick Schumacher, Zhou Guanyu and Oliver Bearman have trained, stated in his statement to the AA reporter that he is a little closer to his goal of competing in Formula 1 in 2030.

Stating that he was happy to join Ferrari, Alp Aksoy said, "I am very happy both for myself and for my country to join Ferrari, the most prestigious team of Formula 1. 12 months have passed since the first day we met with Ferrari. During this time, they put me through simulator and mental tests. They also came to my training and races. We are one step closer to my goal, Formula 1." he said.

Stating that he has a goal of competing in Formula 1 in 2030, Alp said, "From now on, it is a separate motivation for me to go to all training and races with the Ferrari family. I will be able to go to Maranello and do simulator and race training with Ferrai as I want. At the same time, Ferrari's team will help me on the track. This will help me greatly in my Formula 1 goal." he said.

Reminding that Türkiye will host Formula 1 races again, Alp Aksoy said, "I am very happy that Formula 1 is returning to Türkiye again. It is my biggest dream to compete in Formula 1 in my own country and in front of my citizens." He commented:
